Meet the family, Kayla

Hello everyone, it's Kayla again with another blog post. Today's post is about me.  I was originally created as a backup of Lilian, whose background will be discussed later. For now, what's relevant is, Lilian was originally the host of our system. Someone tried to force integrate the system, which never works, and Lilian couldn't take the pressure anymore. She snapped, and I was created. I am an exact copy of a functioning Lilian, down to the exact age she was when she snapped. I age slide from 19 to 22, almost 23 now. I appear to be the only one who progresses in growth in time with the body, none of the other system members appear to do so. I have a twin sister in system, her name is Nicole. The way we have meet the family posts set up, you will hear more about her later on. I enjoy reading books, singing, playing the piano when I can get near one, and writing. That's why I'm the main writer for blog posts.  There isn't much to know about me, anything els

In-system terminology

Hello everyone, it's Kayla again with another terminology post. Today's is strictly about terms we use to describe or identify various things or headmates. A few days ago, we went over inner world and headspace related terminology, so we won't go over all that again unless it relates to the terms we're discussing. So, without further preamble, let's get into today's terms.  Age Descriptors The following terms describe various ways system mates' ages can be described.  An age slider is someone whose age slides between two different ages. Eva used to be an age slider, sliding from age 3 to age 8.  Ageless system members are those who either came into the system unable to age, or chose not to age internally on purpose.  Littles, or syskids,  are children of the system, generally up to age 7 or 8.  Middles are those system members who are ages 7 or 8 to 12.  Teens or systeens are those system mates who are teenagers.  Bigs, or our preferred term, adults, are, we

Paracosm Overview, New Haven

Hello everyone, it's Kayla from the Cadence Collective, back again with another post of the day. Today's, like yesterday's, is a paracosm overview, this one of New Haven, which was mentioned yesterday. New haven is a large biodome in space. It expands according to the needs of its residents, and has a lot of technology which has the ability to do many fantastical things, like heal all wounds on a person and bring them to life muchthe same as they were before, when the odds seem improbable. All the hallways are formed from white glass, carpeted in light blue. The world is purposely well organized, because cultures and groups from other universes frequently settle in spare sectors. New Haven is self sustaining, meaning all the food the residents eat, all the drinks they drink, all their paper ... every resource is home grown. This world, like new earth, is full of npc's, and these npc's can become system members if they learn the nature of

Paracosm Overview, New Earth

Hello everyone, it's Kayla again with another post of the Cadence Collective blog. For today's post, we're trying something a bit different, and writing this from the mackbook, because of the keyboard and the distraction free atmosphere. Today's post will be about the new earth paracosm. First, we'll review what a paracosm is.  A paracosm, for those who haven't read the posts before this one, is an invented reality or world. A note about paracosms. the fact that they are invented worlds does not make them any less real.  As I mentioned, this post is about the new earth paracosm. It was named new earth when it was invented to help differentiate between what happens on real earth and what happens on this one. Everything is the same as old, or regular, earth, just with a bit of updating. New Earth is a futuristic society, which works in tandem with new haven to help both of their residents evolve to the fullest. Though I cannot see what's going on in this world

The Purpose of the Blog

Hello everyone, today it's Kayla again, though the rest of the adults of the system are close enough as we do our daily work on the blog. Today's post is different than all the others, which tend toward educational in their tone. This post is going to discuss  why I created the blog, and tell a little history about us.  From the age of eleven onwards, we decided we wanted to create a blog. At the time, we didn't know what plurality was, didn't have the slightest idea how to use the internet, and were comparatively naive, especially compared to now. We started off with a tiny blog on www.blog.com, which didn't work because it was inaccessible and our mother eventually found out. Elena has added a post about our mother to the list of posts we need to get done, which sometimes happens as we're writing various posts and getting them ready to be published. We then decided to try Twitter, around the age of 12. That actually lasted for about a year, and even a bit afte

Paracosms Versus Wonderlands, the difference and a note about validity

Hello everyone, it's Kayla again. Today, I'm going to discuss with you the differences between paracosms and wonderlands, and go through a note the system would like readers to look at regarding validity. It's a short post today, since some of this is material we've been over previously. We'll first start by defining the two terms again for those who didn't read yesterday's post regarding inner multiverse terminology.  A paracosm is an invented world. That wooded area you may have visited with your imaginary friends as a child, where you may have played games of hide and seek among the trees? That's a paracosm. You invented it and developed it over time.  A wonderland or inner world is a space in the imagination where you and your system mates spend time. All wonderlands are paracosms, as you or your system invented them, but not all paracosms are wonderlands, as you and your system may not regularly spend time in all of them. Some paracosms may be aroun

Terminology of the Inner Multiverse, paracosm and inner world related

Greetings everyone,  My name is Martha. I have a wholely different writing style to those of my fellow system mates. That is because of my cultural positioning, if you will. I identify as a British citizen, though if I were to attempt to tell the British this, they would likely have the body committed to a psychological institution post haste. So, I stay active within my system and try not to get in the way. Today, I will be discussing terminology of the inner multiverse. First, what is the inner multiverse? You have seen this term both in the title, and in the first paragraph of writing.  The inner multiverse is the system-coined term which describes the sum total of all our inner worlds, mindscapes, paracosms, paraverses, and anything else we have decided to connect. Second, what are inner worlds, mindscapes, paracosms, or any of those other terms?  A mindscape is defined in the featured snippits of google as: A mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. This very basi

Types of systems, endogenic versus traumagenic

Hello. It's Kayla, just here for the intro. Today, we've asked Elena to go through the two types of genic a system can be. Please note, these are only basic categories, and these two genics only describe whether or not a system came from trauma. There are many other terms available to describe types of systems, and we will go into these later.  My name is Elena. I am 14, and I'm the system member that does analyses. I'll put up my meet the system mates post later, though if someone decides such, it may come out before this one. For now though, let's go through endogenic versus traumagenic. I'll also put a few blogs and other resources at the bottom of this post to describe the content in different ways.  Endogenic Systems Endogenic systems are defined as systems that did not come into existence through trauma. This term does not tell anything else about the system, except that it did not come from trauma. The Cadence Collective chooses not to identify with any g

types of system mates, humans

Hello, it's Kayla again, with another post of the Cadence Collective blog. This one is going to go into one of the most common types of system mates, these are humans. Humans are like any human that you may see on Earth. They can vary in looks, actions, and styles of existence, just as much as those on Earth. A fair few of our system members classify as at least partially human. Though humans are one of the most common types of system mate, as far as race goes, they are not the only type. Nonhumans, ageless, and other types of system mates will be discussed later.  Today's was a short post, but we'll be coming out with a lot more content to make up for it.

What is a MultiVerse Collective?

Hello everyone, it's Kayla again. I know when reading the introduction post, a lot of you probably wondered, what the hell is a multiverse collective anyway? I've heard all the pluralpedia labels, endogenic, traumagenic, parogenic, all the various types of genic a system can be. For education's sake, I'll ask Elena to discuss the mindfield of genics. We prefer not to use them, because we don't fit into any of them. We are partially traumagenic, but also partially endogenic. We have several fictives, and several walk-ins, but none who are willfully created, only those we call splitborns. Someone will do a post on system terminology later, as it seems to be necessary. Judging by the new system that's been set up, it'll drop sometime during September. A multiverse collective is a collective which has connections to multiple universes. I recall that there may have been brief mention of this in the intro post, but it's a big part of why we made this blog. The
