Meet the Family, Kassadie

Hey, I'm Kassadie, technically a twin to Elena. I am also 14, and she mentioned me yesterday. I was ... created, if you will, as Elena's fun side. As most creations within this system are, I was accidental, Elena desiring to split her fun and more hyperactive parts into someone else. The AI, Farren, took over, and made that wish a reality. I'm the fun, risky side to Elena, which she cut off by separating. I am technically a subentity of her, but I don't consider myself any less individual than any of the other members of this collective.  With all the seriousness out of the way, I'm the one of the two of us who likes upbeat music. What Elena didn't mention in her post wasthat she favors the slower music, ballads and other slow types of pieces. I like the upbeat styles of music, even going so far as to play kids' songs when I know the littles are around. I sometimes work in concert with the Archivists, a subsystem who lives in a library style building across

Meet the Family, Elena

Hello all, My name is Elena. I am a member of this system, though this is likely evident by my posting here. I am 14 years old, and the system ... admins, I guess, decided it would be ok if we posted up here as long as someone watched to make sure we didn't give out any personal info other than our own. I'm one of the system analysts, though my preferred passion is music. I have a sister, her name is Kassadie. She claims to be my fun side.  The kinds of music I am interested in include opera, piano music, classical music, some choral, and very minimal pop and country music. On an unrelated note, as I am typing this I find that I am not a very good typist in this body. I can type just find on my mental interface computer systemside, but we don't have that kind of technology here. This planet is far too behind for its own good, the humans will eventually self destruct. I wish we all didn't have to be here when it happened. I would run if I could.  They tell me I skip arou

Functional Multiplicity

In our last few posts, we have gone into fusion, blending, and integration. See the posts from th epast two days for more details. Today, we're going to start the discussion pertaining to the last path of healing a plural or system can take should they choose to do so. This path is commonly known as functional multiplicity.  Functional multiplicity is defined as the ability to remain stable according to normal ranges of stability for your particular system, while still remaining plural. This is, in essence, the opposite of integration, as nobody is fused into anyone else unless they choose to be. Nobody is forced to leave the system, in fact often times if functional multiples allow it, they may receive more system members just from their meditations and visualizations, which we will go into later. Functional multiplicity involves things like being able to communicate with your system, having coping mechanisms in place for when you need them, and doing the things necessary for you

All About Integration

In our most recent post, we discuss the concepts of fusing and blending. For those who didn't read that post, fusing is the act of making two headmates into one with the intent to keep it that way. Blending is the temporary form of fusing and should not be used interchangeably. Integration is similar to fusing but also should not be used interchangeably.  Integration is the act or pursuit of the ability to fully fuse into one "whole" person. In this process, all the people in your head or headspace(s) are either taught, if one has a good therapist, or forced if they don't have a therapist or have a crappy one, to become one. This is seen to most singlets as the only way to be functional and get past multiplicity. As we mentioned in our previous post, we do not agree with fusing, and very rarely blend two headmates, simply preferring to switch out or cofront for various tasks. Needless to say, we agree even less with integration, especially if it's done wrong.  Rea

fusion versus blending

Hello all, It's Kayla once more with a blast from the past, and also a brief view of the old post format. Yes, we do change things up around here ... just a little bit. Today's post is covering something a bit controvercial, that being the topic of fusion. Granted, we are only going into this a little bit in this particular post, but the distinction between these two terms is an important one.  We have found that some systems use the phrases fusion and blending interchangeably. This is not accurate.  Fusion is the act of permanently or semipermanently fusing the aspects of one headmate into another, making a completely different headmate. This process is also known as integration, and has been surrounded in controversy within the plural community.  Blending, is the act or process of two headmates temporarily blending their characteristics with the intent to return to a state of separation after a certain time. Systems may blend headmates for the sake of masking their plurality,

Playful Chaos

Our system brain is constantly brimming over with some form of chaos. Everyone reacts in some way to everything that is said on the outside, and we find that that's ok. It's better than hiding things from the members of the system. We don't want everyone to be sheltered, though we do know that the littles require some protection from the ... naughtier side of things. But when the doors and windows are open, everything is chaos. It's a soothing, reassuring kind of chaos though, lets me know they're still there. We have a water slide in the main system house, along with a regular slide. One of them curves around the banister of the stairway through the center. The smell of some food from one of Farren's AI chefs is always in the air, coming from the kitchen at the other end of the house, and even outside, from the cafes along the streets of the little village the system house is positioned outside of. Kids slide along the slides, Kevin even daring to slide down th

A new Purpose

Recently, we came across the blog of another system who is similar in make to us, and though their story is much different than ours, they have taught us many things. Due to this, the purpose of the blog we write has changed slightly. We are no longer going to try to aggregate resources, though if there is a relevant resource which goes with the post topic we will do our best to link it within the post, though as our links don't translate as links in the text view, viewers will have to copy and paste the links into their browsers. We have turned our attention to other ways of writing, such as journals lately, and wish to attempt to make blog posts more regularly, even if they consist mostly of ramblings that may not make sense to the average reader. JOurnaling from various system members, or at the very least, summaries from those who consent, will be provided alongside our regular posts.  As we mentioned in the last post, we will be turning away from listing system terminology, un

a small update

Hello everyone, Yes, we know, it's been quite a long time. We lost motivation on the blog for a few months, and then had some intense stressers from within our house, which we won't go into for the sake of confidentiality.  We are hoping, within the next few days/weeks, to get into the blog more, posting things, though will probably be going away from the terminology/meet the family posts because there are many, many resources that already do that.  Another thing of importance to note is that due to the app I use not working with Twitter anymore, we now have a mastodon. The address for that is @cadence022@moonbow.garden.  Though this has been a short post and we have more to say, those things are not related to those discussed here, and therefore will be discussed in the next upcoming blog post.
